Gus Hansen experienced a wonderful year on the WPT where he was the only player to achieve last table in three of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You may recall one of the largest pots in big stakes poker recorded history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen secured a big pot with 4 of a kind against Negreanu’s full house. Gus has earned many tv poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the best enthusiasts in the world. While participating in web poker, another side of Hansen has emerged. Gus frequently competes in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy-in of $40, 000. Hansen usually buys-in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very weak. He waits for a good hand and then pushes all in. I know Hansen is an excellent poker player but certainly not even close to the regular players at 200/400no limit. Unless he is penniless, he has no reason to settle at the game with the min buy in.

Playing for the minimum takes a majority of the ability out of deep stack poker. Gus is assumed to be one of the best poker players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy in for the full amt.. I believe television can alter our view of the real world sometimes. The best poker players in the world could be players you have will not have heard about. Gus can be found competing in web poker on Full Tilt. He commonly participates in high stakes omaha eight-or-better and texas hold’em. Gus has shown himself as a tournament player. Can he use his talents in money rounds?
