Poker has become world famous as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years many types on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling blackjack than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the casino instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier broadcasting "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the house and of course every one of the other players attain five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s initial card, you have to in turn make a call wager or give up. The call bet’s amount is akin to your beginning ante, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Abandoning means that your wager goes directly to the bank. After the bet is the face off. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, with a sum on par with the original wager. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The casino pays out money equal to your original bet and controlled odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
