Have you seen the new PokerPro hold’em poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about 2 weeks ago when I took a short vacation with my parents to the WinStar Gambling den in Oklahoma.
As I anxiously waited for my name to be acknowledged at the live tables, I noticed how the other persons around the PokerPro tables interface with one another. It was very fascinating to say the least. Since the poker table was controlled by a computer, there had been no poker chips to do any chip tips, no cards to shuffle and the real live encounter was stale. Maybe I was the only one that noticed this, except I did observe the gamblers on the table had a dull high quality to them. The cause of this might be because there was no human conversation with the dealer, the environment was relatively boring and the gamblers looked bored to tears. It was almost as if I was seeing a live version of a web-based holdem poker room rather than being seated with hot bodied humans. It was a tiny bit bizarre and I kept flashing back to an episode of ST:TNG and the holodeck malfunctioned.
Since the waiting time for the live tables for more than an hour, I decided to see how the casino game action was and to encounter this new texas hold’em poker gaming technology. Soon after betting a few hands, I actually felt like I was betting at residence. The lack of activity at the table was the primary reason. I like to shuffle and stack my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those things are feasible at these electronic tables.
One more thing I discovered was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I wagered a whole lot of hands in the PokerPro table and noticed that the bet on was a whole lot like an online texas hold em poker website. That could have been just a coincidence, but I discovered it to be very odd.
Right after wagering a few rounds with this "new hold’em poker technology", I made a decision that the PokerPro tables had been not for me. I’m better off playing holdem poker online at home and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling house were to get rid of the live poker tables, I think they’d loose a lot of gamblers.
