This is,absolutely, one of the most critical concepts in Texas Holdem. Using a top ten strategy is the absolute first tactic that competitors need to acquire because it teaches the player strong behaviors that will lead to following winnings.
Folks are constantly asking me what a great, solid course of action is for a amateur competing in Texas Hold’em. My answer is always the same, play a top ten tactic.
Top Ten strategy, applies to the top ten pockets hands that you can get. These hands are a pair of aces, king-king, queen-queen, ace-king suited, jack-jack, TT, nine-nine, 88, AQ suited, and seven-seven. The strategy suggests that you just compete with these hands. This will proceed to very reserved action, but for a beginner to texas hold’em, conservatively is exactly how you will want to compete.
It feels like to me that I am always seeing new players wagering very aggressively, they are the first ones to go all in, and that is generally the wrong strategy. If these amateur bettors would stick to a top ten poker strategy, they routinely would fair much better in the long run. More significantly, this conservative top ten poker strategy will educate the beginning player understanding, which is the most crucial virtue that a texas holdem player can have.
